How to create a Business ID and Business API Key for Google Reviews

In order to use the Google Reviews feature in the Review Module, you'll need two important pieces of information:

• A Place ID
• Your Business API key

Navigate to Global Data > Reviews, switch on Use Google Business Profile, and enter the Place ID and API Key in their respective fields to enable the Google Reviews feature.

Follow these steps to get your Place ID and Business API Key:

Step 1: Enable the Place ID

1. Login to console.cloud.google.com
2. Create a new Project under Select a project
3. Give it a name that makes sense to you – for example “Reviews”. Or use an existing project.
   
   
   
4. In the left-hand menu, click APIs & Services > Library.
   
   
   

5. Search for "Places API" in the search field and click on the first option.
   
   
   

6. Click Enable
   
   

Step 2: Find your Place ID

1. Use Google’s Place ID Finder Tool to find your Google Business ID.
2. Enter your business name and location into the search bar. Your ID will appear next to the correct listing on the map.
   

Step 3: Create your Business API Key

1. Go to APIs & Services > Credentials.
   
   
   
2. Click +Create credentials. This will open a dropdown menu. Choose API Key.
   
   
   
3. Your Business API key will be generated automatically. 
4. Please note that setting up the Google Places API requires you to provide your card details. This does not mean you will be charged immediately. Google operates on a pay-as-you-go model and includes free usage credits. Billing information is required only in case your usage exceeds those free limits.
